About Croft House

Croft House is a privately-run nursery registered by Ofsted to care for children between the ages of six weeks and five years. It was opened in the autumn of 1989. The Nursery receives support from the Bolton Early Start Team.

Croft House is run by Janet Lomax-Baker B.Ed. (Hons) EYPS who is a well-qualified and experienced Early Years Teacher with three children of her own. She is a former Registered Nursery Inspector for Ofsted and is experienced in advising childcare settings in the private and voluntary sector. The Nursery offers many benefits, including the ability to provide a homely, family-type atmosphere. This has always been one of the main aims of Croft House Nursery.

Croft House is situated in a quiet area of Horwich, close to parkland and therefore ideally suited to children. This offers great scope for walks, picnics and woodland learning in the area.
