30 hours extended entitlement for 3 & 4 year olds (for 38 weeks per year) to be introduced by the Government in September 2017

This is an entitlement which will support working parents who work a minimum of 16 hours per week and whose individual salaries are under £100,000.

It may also be applicable to those parents who are on maternity, paternity, shared parental or adoption or statutory sick leave and in situations where one parent meets the income criteria and the other is unable to work due to disabilities, caring responsibilities or has been assessed as having limited capability to work.

Funding starts from the term after a child’s third birthday. The funding is only considered to cover the ‘education’ element of a place and therefore at Croft House Nursery there is a small additional fee per hour for additional costs to be paid for by parents.

At Croft House Nursery we will be offering a number of places for children who are entitled to this funding.  However, as we are open all year, rather than 38 weeks, the places will be a ‘stretched offer’ over the whole year with an additional amount to pay for the extra weeks.

Please note we will be offering a number of extra places for children entitled to this funding from the end of October 2017.  However, parents need to register their interest in taking advantage of this through the childcare choices website, before the end of August.

Croft House Nursery continues to offer a minimum of 3 half-day sessions to all 3 & 4 year old children through the existing 15 hour free childcare scheme which is available for 38 weeks of the year. Again, due to us being open throughout the year, this offer is stretched, with a charge made for the extra weeks and a small amount to pay per hour to cover additional services.
